After fighting for many years to get governments to deal with mercury poisoning of their river, the Grassy Narrows reserve has won their battle. The government of Ontario has agreed to pay for the necessary clean-up. Here’s Judith Rae’s blog on this long struggle - http://oktlaw.com/ontario-commits-clean-mercury-english-wabigoon-river-system/
Very proud of all my colleagues for helping in this long struggle.

This is a resolution to just one disgraceful situation. I was working at Grassy Narrows over 25 years ago. At the time, they had also been waiting years for a new school to be built. Still lot’s more to be done.
Bob, we actually met many years ago at Kasabonika First Nation in norther Ontario. The situation there wasn’t much better.
Outstanding!
