Thank you, Bob Rae. I am a member of the Anglican Church Having undertaken a Parish history in the past few years, I have discovered that our parish did not begin with the village Church of England, but as a mission to Obijwe people further north. With the help of several other interested church members and the neighbouring reserve members, I found a descendant of the original members of the mission church, and have learned of others.
We have succeeded in raising awareness of our parish past, but I don’t want it to stop there. I am seeking a way to continue discussions and be part of reconciliation.
